APM Terminals' inland service depot is strategically located next to the port in Ushuaia. It offers a complete range of repair, maintenance, storage and trucking services at the Depot itself, at the Port or at client's own premises.

Depot Services

Empty container storage

We are open between 09:00 and 18:00 for import and export movements and outside of these ours by prior agreement for the movement and re-positioning of shipping company empties. Our team of 5 highly qualified people are 100% devoted to the dispatch and reception of equipment and operation of the terminal.

We have 600 square meters of paved yard for stacked container storage and office and 12,000 square meters for empty container storage. Stacking of pallets is segregated by type, size and condition of the units and by client.

Transport of empty/loaded containers

Trucking services for the movement of empty containers from and to the Port of Ushuaia, during extended opening hours (from 07:00 to 23:00), with an option of night ratings. We also offer a trucking service for full containers and tow truck service for the movement of containers

Off-dock container maintenance and repair

We offer maintenance and repair for reefer containers, as well as GenSets and Power Packs. We also carry out PTIs (Pre-Trip Inspection) and repairs for all brands.

We are well known in the region for our high capacity and quality related to the structural repairs of containers. We only use highly-qualified personnel and have built up solid experience in this field. We offer monitoring of full containers in the port as well as at our depot. Carrying a wide stock of reefers spare-parts allows us to operate effectively and quickly 24/7, 365 days a year.

Pre-Trip Inspection (PTI) of reefers, gensets and powerpacks, and containers

Temperature is a key factor for refrigerated transport; there we carry our PTIs to the highest quality standards. The inspection is not only limited to an exhaustive control of the refrigeration unit, but also the container’s structure and interior cleaning.

We can carry out up to 40 PTIs and 21 interior cleaning per day, while performing any preventive or corrective maintenance.

Reefer maintenance and repair

We are one of the main containers repair centers in South America. Our highly-trained and motivated staff are our biggest differentiator. Our continuous training ensures that personnel understand the different international repair criteria and are able to use the latest technologies used in refrigeration units.
We also perform minor repairs to loaded containers in the port.

Off-site maintenance & repairs at client’s facilities

We offer off-site service at our client’s premises, including assistance with the shipment of Super Freezer containers, Controlled Atmosphere and shipments with Cold Treatment.

Supply of reefers spare parts

We hold a wide stock of spare-parts for the main manufacturers of refrigeration units for containers, such as Carrier Transicold, Thermo King, Daikin and Star Cool. We supply spare-parts requested for repairs and maintenance, as well as for containers on board of vessels.

Monitoring, Repairs and Maintenance in the Port

Loaded reefer container monitoring

Our highly-trained personnel are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to ensure that loaded containers operate within the correct parameters (temperature, humidity control, ventilation, etc.) before and after it is shipped on board the vessel.

Corrective maintenance of loaded reefer containers

If a failure occurs, we work with the corrective maintenance service for loaded containers and provide prior notification to the line. Our technical personnel are on call 24/7.

Downloading information stored in the controller

We realize the importance of carefully handling the information recorded and stored in the controller of a refrigerated unit, particularly for cases involving a claim against the shipping company. We offer Data Download for any kind of reefer unit and consider this high priority. We only work with the latest generation of equipment for this purpose.
