We grow together with our customers
Three direct calls to Asia, a strong rail share and capacity improvements are making APM Terminals Gothenburg an even stronger hub for international trade. This progress is happening in close collaboration with our customers and partners.
To understand what this means in practice, we spoke with two of our customers – DHL and POWER Logistics – about how the expanded service offering supports their operations and which factors matter most when choosing a logistics solution.
DHL: Shorter lead times and greater continuity to Asia
DHL is one of the world’s leading logistics providers, and just over 55% of its import and export flow passes through APM Terminals Gothenburg. The strategic importance of Gothenburg enables businesses across Sweden to benefit from shorter lead times and reliable connections. For DHL, reliability, competitive pricing and minimised climate impact are key when selecting a logistics solution.
“With three direct calls between Gothenburg and Asia, our customers receive a better end product. Improved lead-time precision creates continuity throughout the flow, and after a turbulent 2025 in European transhipment ports, this has been received very positively – both within our organisation and among our customers,” says Daniel Lindberg, Head of Business Development at DHL.
“We are also very pleased with the positive steps APM Terminals has taken in recent years. Even during challenging times, we have been able to rely on a well-functioning port with a strong range of rail shuttles in Gothenburg. That is a reassurance we truly appreciate,” he concludes.
POWER Logistics: Stability and smooth flows are crucial
POWER Logistics is a dedicated company within POWER, ensuring that goods from the container flow reach stores and end customers across the Nordics. After discharge at APM Terminals Gothenburg, containers are transported by rail to PGF’s terminal, located next to the warehouse – a key factor for efficient and reliable flows.
“Our container flow via APM Terminals is an incredibly important part of our operations. Ease and stability are crucial for our logistics activities,” says Lovisa Åkvist, Customs Manager at POWER Logistics.
She continues: “We have had the privilege of working with APM Terminals for a long time and are very positive about our collaboration, both in daily and strategic matters. They are always friendly, attentive and helpful, take the time to understand our needs and ensure that we as a customer always feel satisfied.”
