Hazardous Cargo
APM Terminals Maasvlakte II has an environmental permit which states that hazardous substances may be present at our terminal provided that the box and tank containers are not kept at the terminal for longer than 14 days. This applies to all classes of substances with the exception of class 1.1, 1.5, 1.6 and class 7. For these, specific dwell times are included in the relevant permits.
For box and tank containers with hazardous substances, we will send you a message when we find that your container has been on our premises for 9 days, so that you have sufficient time to prevent it from exceeding the stipulated period (longer than 14 days).
We kindly ask you to ensure that your box and tank containers with hazardous substances are not on our property for longer than 14 days.
