Break Bulk & Outside Of Gauge Cargo

APM Terminals Maasvlakte II is fully equipped to handle almost all types of break bulk/Outside of Gauge (OOG) cargo, including even the most challenging, large, or heavy items.

Our Special Cargo Team consists of experienced specialists who are present on the terminal every day. They are experts in the safe and efficient handling of breakbulk cargo. The team’s activities include:

• Discharging and loading break bulk pieces on all 4 modalities (barge, rail, truck, and deep sea/feeder).
• Stuffing and stripping of containers and flat racks.
• Supervising the lashing of cargo on board vessels, containers, and flatracks. The lashing itself is performed by a third party.

Do you have cargo that exceeds the specified dimensions? It is possible to handle this with an external floating crane. You can either arrange this crane yourself or have us organize it on your behalf. In both cases, our specialists will assist with the loading and/or unloading process.
