APM Terminals Liberia stand together in support of breast cancer awareness month

In recognition of October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, APM Terminals on Friday, October 27, 2023, joined forces with CLINILAB MEDICAL and DIAGNOSTIC CENTER CMDC to raise awareness and support for Breast Cancer. It was an absolute honour to have Madam Jacqueline Maudlyne Capehart, a Breast Cancer Survivor, as our special guest. Her inspiring journey left an indelible mark on our hearts and served as a beacon of hope for all.

The event was a reminder of the incredible strength and resilience within our APM Terminals Liberia family as we gathered together, not only to listen to Madam Capehart’s courageous story, but also to create a safe space for our colleagues to bravely share their own experiences, honouring loved ones lost and supporting those battling breast cancer.

We were also reminded that breast cancer affects not just individuals, but entire communities. It reinforced the importance of raising awareness, early detection, and providing support to those who need it most.

By sharing our experiences, encouraging regular screenings, and fostering a culture of empathy and understanding, we can empower more individuals to take control of their health and ensure that no one faces Breast Cancer alone.

As part of our commitment to health and well-being, we provided female employees with individual gift cards for free breast ultrasound and mammograms at health centers dedicated to breast cancer screenings. Together, we raise awareness and empower our community to fight against breast cancer.
