WACT and Clarion Shipping WA offer a seamless way to move import, export and empty containers between WACT and the ECM Terminal in Calabar. 

The service makes use of both feeder vessels and barges. With this weekly scheduled transfers, the service includes TBL (Through Bill of Lading), non-TBL and direct deliveries.

How it works

Booking process

The Calabar feeder vessel / barge product process can be broken down into the following steps:

1   Email

Customer makes request:
• For TBL, request is made through the shipping line if TBL
• For non-TBL and direct delivery, sent request via email to onne.customercare@apmterminals.com.

2   Checklist APM Terminals checks, confirms to customer and shares invoices with the customer for non-TBL and direct delivery.
3   Banking Customer makes payment for non-TBL/ direct delivery.
4   Operations WACT performs operations and stores the container in the dedicated yard stack.
5   Signature WACT obtains relevant approvals for transfer of the cargo or customer provides us with the needed approvals 48 hours before barge arrival.
6   Barge Containers are transferred via feeder vessel or barge through our partner – Clarion shipping – to ECM Terminal, Calabar.
7   Clearance Customer proceeds to ECM Terminal, performs all required regulatory clearance processes, obtains clearance and takes delivery from ECM Terminal, Calabar.
