Life at the port

Port Pipavav has a dedicated colony for workers and their families living on the premises, while the port colony is now in the process of being expanded. A wide range of facilities and activities make Port Pipavav an enriching and exciting place to be.

Employees can take advantage of a 24/7 canteen, while an on-site supermarket / provision shop caters to families’ everyday needs. There is a Tiny Tots school located on the port premises, while for older children, a bus service links directly to the local CBSE school.

The port sponsors family dinners, fairs, excursions, children’s events and a variety of other get-togethers. There are also ongoing educational programmes, including English and computer classes, and an active Ladies Club organises cooking classes. New programmes are organised all the time, ensuring that the port is usually buzzing with activity.

On-site recreational facilities include a library, gymnasium, basketball court, swimming pool, table tennis and caroms.
