Fumigation/ventilation

APM Terminals Valencia can authorise a third part of your choice to carry out fumigation and ventilation of your containers within our terminal. We help shippers to limit their transportation costs by providing authorization for phosphine fumigation within the terminal premises.

Notes about the fumigation process

• Fumigation products are not included and must be provided by the requestor.
• Authorization process for 3rd party fumigation providers at the terminal entrance is mandatory and coordinated by our HSSE Department.
• Generally, the fumigation product stays 4 to 5 days in the container. After this period, the container is ready for ventilation (4 to 6 hours).
• Customer will provide APM Terminals Valencia with the Safety Data Sheet of the product to be applied for the fumigation, and provide the name of the company that will carry out the Fumigation / Ventilation tasks. They  will also provide the personal data of the people who will do the fumigation / Ventilation, including the specialization card in the application of chemical gases to aduanasvlc@apmterminals.com
