Priority handling for electric trucks

Denmark is moving towards a more sustainable transport sector. To support the transition towards greener logistics, the terminal now offers priority handling for electric trucks.

Every day, APM Terminals Aarhus handles a significant number of trucks delivering and collecting containers. While electric trucks currently make up a small portion of these, numbers are growing as the industry moves toward more sustainable solutions. To support this shift, APM Terminals Aarhus is introducing priority handling for electric trucks, ensuring faster turnaround times within the terminal.

“By offering priority handling for electric trucks, we aim to make the transition more attractive and efficient for hauliers. It’s a small but important step in reducing emissions and contributing to a greener supply chain,” says Mathias Weismann Poulsen, CCO at APM Terminals Aarhus.

“We will continuously evaluate and refine this initiative based on customer needs and operational developments,” Mathias Weismann Poulsen adds. “Our goal is to create a terminal that not only meets today’s demands but also helps drive the transition to a more sustainable future.”
