Customer Advisory No. 562: New Rate and Procedure for Changing the Status of Cargo Withdrawal Requests

Dear Users,

From APM Terminals Buenaventura TCBUEN, in our continuous effort to improve operational efficiency and the management of cargo withdrawal requests, we address the port community to inform you about an important update in our procedures and rates.

Starting November 1, 2024, a new fee of USD 13.64 plus VAT will be applied for the service of changing the status of cargo withdrawal requests. This fee includes the management of changes in the withdrawal request, as well as the modification of transport for loose cargo.

Procedure for Requesting a Change in the Status of a Withdrawal Request:

1. Submission of Request: The client or customs agency must send an email to our Commercial “Customs” staff at gestionaduanera_bun@apmterminals.com and Billing at billing_cobun@apmterminals.com requesting the invoice and the generation of the change in the status of the withdrawal request.

The email must meet the following requirements:

  • Be sent from corporate or registered emails with the Terminal.
  • The sender must be the one who made the initial withdrawal request.

Information to be included in the email:

  • Number of the child or direct BL.
  • Number of the master BL (if applicable).
  • Number of the withdrawal request to be modified.
  • Reason for the change.
  • Name of the official requesting the change.
  • Form FOR-GFA-006 “Invoice Request”.

2. Review and Validation: Our Commercial “Customs” staff will review the information, validate the status of the request, and verify that the cargo is physically at the Terminal. If everything is correct, the change will be made in the Self-Management Portal.

3. Invoice Generation: Billing will generate the corresponding invoice and send it to the client.

4. Modification of Request: The client must log into the Self-Management Portal and make the pertinent changes to the new withdrawal request.

5. Approval of Request: Once the new request is pending, our Commercial “Customs” staff will validate all the information and documents in the Self-Management Portal to proceed with the approval.
